Imagine it’s June 2023 - What do we want to be true about math education at Claypit Hill?
- Visitors hear more student talk than teacher talk during the math block.
- Teachers continue to have high expectations for students.
- The culture of students needing to be rescued has been vastly reduced.
- Classroom environments where students aren’t afraid to take risks or share mathematical thinking are the norm.
- Students are making connections among math concepts and applying concepts to real-world situations.
- Educators are using data to best meet the needs of all students in strategic groups.
- Students are provided with feedback on a regular basis. This feedback encourages problem solving and student independence.
