MURSD's Portrait of a Graduate guides educators at Memorial too!
Two years ago, in response to the MURSD Strategic Plan that was recently developed, educators, parents, and community stakeholders from our two communities, mindful of our mission, thoughtfully pictured our future MURSD graduates. We imagined what their future may hold and wondered about the knowledge and skills they'll need to become successful in their personal lives and in work and productive citizens who will make meaningful contributions to our global society.
The team developed MURSD's Portrait of a Graduate. This work was shared in a truly meaningful way with Nipmuc staff and students last year. This year, students at Memorial, including our youngest elementary students, will be engaged in learning that will prepare them for an ever-changing future. Students and their families, together with school staff, will examine how the Portrait of a Learner at Memorial must evolve so that our students are educated to meet any challenge that faces them as they pursue their dreams and find their way in the world.
