Meet Professor Griswold
FAMILY
I have lived my whole life in Upton in a fun neighborhood with my family: my mom, dad, younger brother, and dog Rosie! My dad works in insurance, my mom keeps busy volunteering and giving back to our community in so many ways, and my brother is a first year student at Assumption University (formerly Assumption College-where I went!) studying communications. We rescued our beloved dog Rosie from a shelter in 2012, she is about to turn 8 years old and we love her so much!
As kids, my brother and I were very active in sports and other activities. I danced at a local dance studio for 15 years and am now a teacher there. Dance has always been a big part of my life and I love every second of it! I also played soccer for most of my life and enjoyed watching my brother play basketball and baseball. I love spending time with my friends, coffee, running, baking, ice cream, and music.

EDUCATION
Because I grew up in Upton, I was lucky enough to be a student in the Mendon-Upton Regional School District. I attended Miscoe, Memorial, went back to Miscoe, and finally to Nipmuc High School. I was also a member of the Spanish Immersion Program. I graduated high school in 2014 and decided to attend Assumption College in Worcester, MA where I majored in Elementary Education and Spanish. After I graduated, I decided to continue my studies at Assumption to pursue a Masters Degree in Special Education.
TEACHING
Through my college classes, I got the opportunity to do student teachings in many different school settings around the Worcester area. While getting my Master’s degree, I worked as an Inclusion Paraprofessional in a first grade classroom. After getting my degree, I earned a job at Memorial as an Academic Tutor where I gained a lot of experience in the fourth-grade. This is my first year as a Special Education Teacher and I couldn’t be happier to start at Clough! I feel so fortunate to have grown up as a student in our district and now I get to be a teacher here, too (how’s that for a full circle moment?). I am so excited to be part of the Clough community, work with amazing teachers, meet awesome kids, and begin my career in education.
